A lot (oh OK, almost all) of the work on this website is political in nature and this page and the following is what informs. I am in the process of updating both images and info so stay tuned.

"VOICE OR NO VOICE, THE PEOPLE CAN ALWAYS BE BROUGHT TO THE BIDDING OF THE LEADERS. THAT IS EASY. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED AND DENOUNCE THE PACIFISTS FOR LACK OF PATRIOTISM AND EXPOSING THE COUNTRY TO DANGER. IT WORKS THE SAME IN EVERY COUNTRY" Hermann Goering
THE BBC DOCUMENTARY (there are 3 parts) THE POWER OF NIGHTMAREShttp://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=881321004838285177&q+The+Power+of+Nightmares&hl=enA couple of small things caught my attention in part one of the documentary. First was the statement by Kamal Habib that "In the liberal era that simply accepted reality, psychologically we thought we were superior to reality. We despised the everyday vision of the world" I heard that and thought...Hmmm, why does that sound sooo familiar? And then I remembered the NY Times Magazine article by Ron Suskind in which he quoted an unnamed G.W.Bush aide thusly.. The aide said that guys like me were "in what we call the reality-based community," which he defined as people who "believe that solutions emerge from your judicious study of discernible reality." ..."That's not the way the world really works anymore," he continued. "We're an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you're studying that reality-judiciously, as you will-we'll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that's how things will sort out. We're history's actors...and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do." WHEW!!! "AND YOU. ALL OF YOU." Well I posit this judiciously of course, but what a little fascist putz! Here's the whole article http://www.cscs.umich.edu/~crshalizi/sloth/2004-10-16b.htmlThe other thing that struck me was the fact that Richard Pipes chaired the B3 group. Look up his son Daniel Pipes to see someone in the cast who's stoking the fire this time around. Speaking of father/son tag teams there's also Norman and son John Podhoretz who would have us in a war with Iran.
